I have purchased two of these and both are absolutely awful. Non stick is a joke completely unfit for purpose. Comes off after one use using silicone utensils and then you are unable to use again due to the coating sticking to your food. Will never purchase anything from the brand again.

  2. Andie

I got this in passing because it was the perfect size for a family of 5, and seemed to be a good make. The coating started to flake off second use despite washing as per instructions and not using metal utensils. Deeply disappointing. Would have returned, but store not close

  3. Battersea Lady

I wish I had read reviews before buying. Coating started to flake off bottom after 2 uses with silicone implements. Dreadful quality – using this name to promote an inferior product.

Sadly I cannot return this product, as I’ve paid with cash and I lost the receipt, however I decided to add my review here anyway. The product is awful and after only 2 uses the non stick layer just started to come off. Horrible!

Used this wok for the first time on my brand new induction hob last night and it has scorched it leaving a huge round mark. Was only on the hob for 2-3 mins. Also noticed the food stuck to the wok despite using plenty of oil. Absolutely gutted as just completed a big kitchen renovation and now have to fork out over £300 for a new hob.

Bought this from store as if I saw the reviews first I would have avoided. Terrible wok, lasted 2 dinners before scorching on the bottom and bending. Don’t waste the money! What’s better Dunelm won’t even refund it!!!

First use and all food burnt and stuck to the bottom, second use the same, it just burns in the middle, sticks and can’t be cleaned.

This wok is carbon steel and does not have a ‘non stick coating’. Instead the oil polymerises over time and the pan develops a natural non stick property. That’s why these pans are favoured by restaurants and chefs alike. So all the pictures saying ‘Oh my gawd the non stick coating is coming off!!’ – this is completely natural and is the pan creating the non stick surface. Please do some research on carbon steel woks and their properties before buying and reviewing.

Place the wok on the induction hob and the coating inside and out burnt off . It is not fit for purpose as I do not want to eating coating from a pan . Also not worth the risk of ruining the job. Please do not buy.

I find the negative views on this wok surprising.
I have had this wok for many years and it’s as good as the day I bought it.
It’s obvious these problems are caused by over heating the wok.
Carbon steel heats up very quick and only needs a low heat to maintain the heat with possibly minor adjustments dependent on what your cooking.
Food will stick too any pan and distort it, if there’s too much heat.
